about

The whole concert consisted on improvisation using my piece of “Back Wind” as motif-seed to expand to improvise of three instruments for unusual combination of taiko, keyboard and shakuhachi. The fundamental sound-making purpose of the performance was to find out the common thread between two winds between the “Ancient time” and “Today’s civilianized Age” and set an encounter of them in San Francisco. Live-concert recording of: Masayuki Koga/ Shakuhachi, Shota Osabe/ Keyboard, Jimi Nakagawa/ Taiko
Date: Oct.24,2009
Location: St.Gregory Church, San Francisco
